Come join the Credit River Métis Council & help make a Metis inspired meal! 

Please come out on Sunday September 22,   2024. 

We’ll be meeting at Meadowvale Conservation Area for some outdoor cooking! Everyone will participate in making Three Sister Soup, Bannock and Bison Burgers. There will be time for a hike with Senator Gasparro, along with enjoying the meal we made together once it’s ready. 

We will also be acknowledging Truth & Reconciliation Day (September 30, 2024) with a craft.

MNO Enviro Event July 12, 2024

Enviro Event at J.C. Saddington Park located at the mouth of the Credit River. Event hosted by Region 8 Councillor, Kate Stewart-McNeil & Region 8 Manager, Alicia Blore. Tonight we’ll remove some litter from the park, followed by light refreshments and a fun, all-ages Rock Painting Activity hosted in partnership with the Credit River Métis Council.

We can work together, and be proud of who we are as Métis people living here in Region 8!

Gloves, garbage bags, and tongs will be provided for use. We’ll take photos to show the impact of our environmental stewardship. 

Bring your sashes, a water bottle, good painting rocks (if you have them), and dress for the weather. We’ll be there rain or shine — but in the event of heavy rain, we will reschedule to a nicer day.
